MEMORISE: Do all things without murmurings and disputing: Philippians 2:14
READ: Philippians 2:14-16

14. Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15. That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16. Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

MESSAGE:

One particular year December, I queried God that He had not done anything special for me since the beginning of the year. I explained to Him that if He had given me evident miracles that year, I would have probably had reasons to be grateful. Thankfully, God was not angry with me or at my complaints. He simply told me to take a pen and jotter to write down all He would remind me of. After ten minutes of writing all His benefits that I had forgotten, I fell flat on my face, asking for His forgiveness over my ingratitude.

Ingratitude is a sin that begins from complaining and murmuring about the things you don’t have while ignoring the blessings that you have. In Exodus 16:1-4, the children of Israel did this in the wilderness, and God was not happy with them.

If you are quick to complain about everything, then you should ask God for forgiveness. If you find it difficult to thank God for the daily blessings you enjoy or say ‘thank you’ to someone who did something good to you, you should ask God for mercy because you are exhibiting a sign of the end time. Note that where you are right now, and the things that you have are other people’s prayer

PRAYER POINT:

Father, please help me to show gratitude to You and other people at all times.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Chronicles 22:1-23:32 Romans 3:9-31

HYMN 37: Let Us With A Gladsome Mind

1. Let us, with a gladsome mind,
Praise the Lord, for He is kind;
For His mercies shall endure
Ever faithful, ever sure.

2. Let us sound His name abroad,
For of gods He is the God;
For His mercies shall endure,
Ever faithful, ever sure.

3. He with all-commanding might
Filled the new-made world with light;
For His mercies shall endure,
Ever faithful, ever sure.

4. All things living He doth feed;
His full hand supplies their need;
For His mercies shall endure,
Ever faithful, ever sure.

5. He His chosen race did bless
In the wasteful wilderness;
For His mercies shall endure,
Ever faithful, ever sure.

6. He hath with a pious eye
Looked upon our misery;
For His mercies shall endure,
Ever faithful, ever sure.

7. Let us with gladsome mind
Praise the Lord, for He is kind;
For His mercies shall endure,
ever faithful, ever sure.
