TOPIC: “No Guilt, No Condemnation” (DCLM Daily Manna 24 July 2024)
KEY VERSE: “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit” (Romans 8:1).
TEXT: Romans 8:1-6 (KJV)
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:
A man was once caught by his supervisor stealing a chicken after work in the office. The supervisor promised not to report to the manager as long as the man will always do as he tells him. Using this threat of blackmail, the supervisor continued to exploit the accused man to his advantage. One day, the man got fed up with this guilt and enslavement to his supervisor. He walked up to the manager and confessed his act, ending the scandal that held him in guilt and condemnation.

Sin breeds guilt, condemnation, fear of judgment and inescapable retribution. Our passage today talks about the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus that sets us free from the law of sin and death. The ‘law of sin and death’ is likened to the law of gravity that pulls objects down to the earth. In contrast, the ‘law of the spirit of life in Christ’ is like the law of aerodynamics that enables an aeroplane to fly, overruling gravitational force. When we are born again, we come under the law of the spirit of life in Christ, where sin can no longer dominate us.
Satan may accuse saints wrongly, but being cleansed by the blood of the Lamb, their sins are remembered no more. Consequently, they exercise themselves daily to have a conscience void of offence towards God and men, and are free from guilt and condemnation.
Every sinner who will decide to turn away from his sins today will receive pardon and walk in perfect fellowship with Christ. No longer will he be under the guilt and condemnation of sin or the cruel control of Satan. To receive this salvation, you must accept your faults, confess them to God and ask for pardon through the sacrifice of Christ for your complete freedom. Do not allow Satan to keep you in bondage.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Repentance and forgiveness through Christ set us free from guilt and condemnation.
