29. Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
MESSAGE:
It is the order of nature that as a teenager, your parents are responsible for your well-being and upkeep. However, you must reciprocate their care by having a good sense of responsibility. You should help them with house chores, cooking, running errands, et cetera.
One thing my mother didn’t allow me to indulge myself in was laziness. Despite being her last child, she ensured that I was involved in every activity at home. Although she allowed me to play football with my friends and attend village events, I always had a lot to do at home. She was keen on me becoming great, especially because I was her only male child.
Every time I ran an errand for her, she would say, “Adejare, thank you. When you call one person, 200 will answer you.” Today, my mum’s prayers have become a reality to the glory of God.
Do you want to be blessed? If yes, then laziness should be eradicated from your dictionary forever. Let your parents feel your impact whenever you are at home.
