17 And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

MFM Devotional For Today 2024 MESSAGE:

Many people mismanage their families because they are not mindful of God’s intent and ultimate purpose for the family. A family that is properly managed in the way of the Lord is one that will fear God and keep His commandments. Abraham made God proud in so many ways. He did not only have unshakeable faith in God and His Word, he was ready to make the highest sacrifice for it, which is the sacrifice of his only son, Isaac. He also taught his children the fear of God. Genesis 18:6 affirms this: “And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do. Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.”

Finally, the duty of every member of a family is to fear God and keep His commandments as stated in Ecclesiastes 12:13 which says, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” The ultimate purpose for us is to bring to God the glory He so rightfully deserves. We are to seek His kingdom first as individuals and teach our families to do the same. It is when a family succeeds at this task that it can be said to have succeeded in its divine purpose. A godly family is a family whose members are true ambassadors of Christ. It is a family where all members are born again. Such is the kind of family that God will use to fulfil His purpose on earth.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

My family shall serve the Lord Jesus Christ, in the Name of Jesus.
Members of my family shall not go to hell, in the Name of Jesus.
Every power assigned to derail my family, die, in the Name of Jesus.
EVENING

My family members shall not die but live and declare the works of God, in the Name of Jesus.
My Father, deliver my family from the bondage of darkness, in the Name of Jesus.
My family shall not serve satan, in the Name of Jesus.
I cover my family with the blood of Jesus, in the Name of Jesus.
