Open Heaven For Teens 20 July 2024 – Positioned In His Will
TOPIC: Positioned In His Will (Open Heaven for Teens 20 July 2024)
MEMORISE: I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5
READ: 2 Chronicles 20:15-18
15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
16 To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.
17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.
18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.
MESSAGE:
Being positioned in God’s will means abiding in God and His word. It refers to being exactly where God wants you to be. As a Christian who is pursuing God’s will, you will encounter opposition, but God has promised that you will be victorious.
In today’s Bible reading, King Jehoshaphat had pulled the whole of Judah out of idol worship into worshipping God. He and his people had won the battle against the Moabites, but they became afraid when a more powerful army was coming up against them. God showed up for them when they obeyed the instruction to praise Him, and they emerged victorious.
This is encouraging for any child of God. It is a reminder that there will be battles along your path, but God has promised to never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). However, you must maintain your position in Christ so that you will not experience defeat. I charge you to remain steadfast in God’s will and watch Him fight your battles.
PRAYER POINT
Father, please strengthen my conviction and help me to stand with you until the end.

HYMN 21: Standing On The Promises Of Christ My King
1. Standing on the promises of Christ, my King,
Through eternal ages let his praises ring;
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
Standing on the promises of God.
Refrain:
Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God, my Savior;
Standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.
2. Standing on the promises that cannot fail.
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
By the living Word of God I shall prevail,
Standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]
3. Standing on the promises of Christ, the Lord,
Bound to him eternally by love’s strong cord,
Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,
Standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]
4. Standing on the promises I cannot fall,
List’ning ev’ry moment to the Spirit’s call,
Resting in my Savior as my all in all,
Standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]
